The Commons Rally

The Commons Rally was a celebration of connection through play. Designed around the idea that relationships can begin with something as simple as moving, laughing, and sharing an experience, women came together for an evening of pickleball, conversation, and community. It wasn't about competition or skill, it was about showing up, trying something new, and discovering how easily meaningful connections can grow when there's no pressure to perform.

The Commons Table

The Commons Table reminded us that communities are rarely built in grand moments; they are built in the quiet ones. Around a shared table, women gathered to slow down, listen, laugh, and connect with one another without expectations or agendas. Over a thoughtfully curated meal, stories were exchanged, perspectives were broadened, and friendships began to take shape. It was an experience that celebrated the beauty of showing up, sharing space, and making every woman feel that she had a place at the table.

Personal Branding: Learning the art of makeup

With Prachi Sharma, Certified makeup artist, members of Commons as the lead for this session, this experience was about something simple but important — how we show up. Grooming and makeup are not about changing who we are, but about understanding what works for us and presenting ourselves with a little more intention and confidence.

Money Month: Her Money, Her Decisions

Money Month: Her Money, Her Decisions was a thoughtfully curated experience to help women build confidence in one of life's most important conversations: money. In partnership with PMPK Wealth Pvt. Ltd., the session explored the fundamentals of financial literacy, from managing money and investing wisely to making informed financial decisions with clarity and confidence. More than a finance workshop, it was an open and empowering conversation that encouraged women to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and take ownership of their financial future. It was an evening of learning, practical insights, and meaningful discussions because financial confidence is an essential part of personal growth.

The Beginning Within

Commons: The Beginning Within marked the beginning of our journey as a community. Through the practice of vision boarding, women came together to reflect on their aspirations, reconnect with themselves, and intentionally envision the life they wanted to create. Beyond the vision boards, we shared honest conversations about the realities of being a woman, navigating challenges with resilience, embracing a positive outlook, and finding strength in one another. It was an afternoon of reflection, inspiration, and meaningful connection—the foundation of what Commons stands for.

In their words

Reflections from the Community

We all have unique journeys which we are supposed to cover at our own pace. There is no hurry-scurry. Live and let live.

Dr. Shreya Pandey, Assistant Professor

The Beginning Within

Movement is important. But movement with other people is transformative.

The Commons Rally

The future of wellness won’t be built in isolation. It will be built in communities — on courts, in clubs, and in spaces where people genuinely enjoy being together.

The Commons Rally

Never should we fall into the trap of trying to become a Superwoman at the cost of our health, lives and well-being. Give yourself some space, breathe, rest, relax and reset for another beautiful day.

Dr. Shreya Pandey, Assistant Professor

The Beginning Within

Meeting new people always comes with a little hesitation for me, but being at Commons genuinely felt so comfortable. Everyone was so warm, easy to talk to, and so welcoming that it never felt awkward for even a moment. So happy and grateful to be a part of this beautiful community.

Behind Commons

The people behind the community.

Akansha Dwivedi

Founder and Curator, Commons

Economics graduate. Former analyst. Almost bureaucrat. Accidental baker. Intentional community builder.

Akansha’s journey has been less about following a conventional career path and more about figuring out where she could create meaningful change while still having the freedom to build something of her own. After studying Economics and working as an analyst at Sattva Consulting, she began preparing for the UPSC. But the desire to create independently eventually won, leading her to build Whiskora Patisserie and later, Commons. Today, she is most interested in what happens when women with different stories, perspectives, and ambitions find themselves in the same room.

Shreyank Sarawgi

Co-Founder, Commons

Business graduate. Entrepreneur by instinct. Operator at heart. Growth strategist by choice.

For Shreyank, business was never really a question of if, but what. Alongside completing his BBA, he was already building hands-on experience, driven by an instinct for understanding how things operate, scale, and grow. Today he heads SS Aluminium H in Ranchi alongside SS Enterprises, bringing experience across operations, strategy and business development. At Commons he turns ideas into systems, strengthening operations and shaping growth strategies that let the community scale thoughtfully while staying true to what makes it special.

Where it began

Before there was Commons, there was Whiskora.

Commons grew from something Whiskora was already creating: connection.

Commons began as an extension of Whiskora Patisserie and a simple observation that some of the best things happen when people have a reason to come together, stay a little longer, and start a conversation.

What began with the warmth and hospitality of Whiskora soon grew into something of its own: a thoughtfully curated community where women could meet, exchange perspectives, build meaningful relationships, and find a sense of belonging.
